Italian Meatloaf

Italian Meatloaf Recipe
|
|
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
1 large can tomato sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tsp. prepared mustard
2 eggs, beaten
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 cup bread crumbs
pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a small bowl, mix together
tomato sauce, sugar, vinegar and mustard. Combine the remainder
of the ingredients in a large bowl and add one cup of the sauce.
Mix well. Press the meat mixture into a loaf pan and pour the
remaining sauce over the loaf. Bake for 1 - 1 1/2 hours, or
until meat is no longer pink and juices run clear.

Sweet and Sour Meatloaf 2

1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 egg
1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup onion, chopped finely
1/2 cup tomato sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients thoroughly and place in a square
casserole dish.
Sweet and Sour Sauce:
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
1/4 cup water
2 tsp mustard
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp vinegar
Stir all ingredients together and pour over meatloaf in baking
dish. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours. |

Sweet and Sour Meatloaf 3

Sauce:
1 8oz. can tomato sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tsp. mustard
Loaf:
2 lbs. ground beef
1/3 cup bread or cracker crumbs
1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
1 egg, beaten
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp pepper
Mix sauce ingredients together in a small bowl. Add egg and
Worcestershire sauce. In a large bowl blend meat, crumbs, onions
and pepper together. Add sauce and mix thoroughly. Place in a
large loaf pan at 400 degrees F for approx. 45 minutes.
