Strawberry Spinach Salad Recipe
2 bunches fresh spinach, torn into pieces
2 cups strawberries, cut in halves
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp. sesame seeds
1 tbsp. poppy seeds
1 1/2 tbsp. minced onion
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup cider vinegar
Directions:
Toss spinach and strawberries together. Mix
together remaining ingredients for dressing and pour over salad.
Hot Dressed Spinach Salad Recipe
3 cups fresh spinach, torn
1/2 cup shredded carrots
6 slices bacon
1 1/2 cups cooked shrimp
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup cider vinegar
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp pepper
Directions:
Toss spinach and carrots together in a large bowl. Fry bacon in
a large frying pan. Drain and reserve 2 tbsp drippings in pan.
Chop bacon and set aside. Saute shrimp and mushrooms in bacon
drippings for about 1 minute. Add sugar, vinegar and bacon and
mix together. Bring to a boil. Dissolve cornstarch in water and
add to pan, stirring constantly until slightly thickened. Add
pepper. Pour dressing over spinach mixture; toss.
Citrus Spinach Salad Recipe
1 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp. sesame seeds
1/2 tsp. finely grated lime peel
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
salt and pepper
3 cups torn, fresh spinach
1 cup slice fresh mushrooms
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1/2 small re onion, sliced in thin rings
Directions:
Combine lime juice, oil, sesame seeds, lime peel, ginger, salt
and pepper in a jar and shake well. Combine spinach,
mushrooms, orange and onion in a large bowl. Toss with dressing.
