2 lbs. ground beef
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs (or cracker crumbs)
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms (optional)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
Sauce:
1 1/2 cups boiling water
4 tbsp. brown sugar
5 tbsp. ketchup
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Combine crumbs and milk, then add eggs, onion, mushrooms and
hamburger. Mix well. Add seasonings and stir well. Put into loaf
pan - 9" X 5". Combine sauce ingredients and pour over meatloaf.
Bake at 325�F for about 1 1/2 hours, checking periodically.
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 350�F.
Beat
eggs in a medium sized mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup tomato sauce,
reserving the rest, and mix in the remaining ingredients. Shape
into a loaf or spread into a pan; pour remaining tomato sauce
over the top. Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. |
