White Muffins
Description
White Muffins:
2 cups sifted flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3.5 tsp baking powder
1 egg (beaten)
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup melted butter
Sift together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder. In another bowl put egg, milk and melted butter. Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the wet, all at once. Combine together with as few strokes as possible adding 1/2 tsp of vanilla. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3rds full. bake at 375 for 20 to 30 minutes. For variety fresh fruit or raisins may be added.
