Oatmeal Cookies

Description

Oatmeal Cookies:

Traditional Oatmeal Cookies that are perfect for any occasion.  These cookies make a good crunch sound – nice  and crisp.
 
 Oatmeal Cookies
 
 1 cup of brown sugar
 cup butter or margarine
 ½ cup lard
 2 eggs
 1 teaspoon vanilla
 2 cups of oatmeal
 1 ½ cups of flour
 1 teaspoon baking soda
 ¼ teaspoon salt
 
 Mix brown sugar, margarine and lard together.  Blend until light and fluffy.  Add eggs, vanilla and continue blending the mixture together.  Add oatmeal, flour, baking soda and salt into the mixture and blend it all together.  Once it is well mixed let it cool in the fridge for about 2 hours.  Once the mixture is cooled drop tablespoons onto a cookie sheet and press downward on the dough slightly.  Bake for about 12 minutes or until slightly brown.  Cool them and enjoy a traditional oatmeal cookie.
