Chocolate Cookies:

Chocolate Cookies are easy to make.  These are the best choice when you want to make a variety of shapes and decorate the cookies for a special occasion.  I love chocolate butter cookies.  These cookies never disappoint.
 
 ⅓ cup sugar
 ⅔cup butter or margarine
 1 egg yolk
 1 teaspoon almond extract
 1 ½ cups flour
 ¼ cup cocoa
 
 Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
 
 Cream together in a bowl butter and sugar.  Add the egg yolk and teaspoon of almond extract.  Beat together till the mixture is light.  Add to the mixture flour and cocoa and blend together.
 
 Put rounded teaspoons of the cookie mix onto the cookie sheet.  Press the cookies into whatever shape you prefer.  Cook for about 8 minutes.  After the cookies have cooled they can be decorated with a variety of decorations or with chocolate chips.
